“Of course we realise that the market generally in Spain (and in many other countries  too) is very quiet right now and large number of Andalucian villas for sale  means there is plenty of choice for anyone wanting to buy now. Over the past ten or so years we have averaged 2 sales per month on the hillside overlooking Salobrena and in 2008 we have sold 9 properties so far including 2 in July and more recently agreed terms of another substantial purchase after being retained by an existing client. Although this is a rather lower level of activity compared with previous years, bearing in mind the doom and gloom that prevails in much of the western world right now, we are quite pleased to still be selling this number of properties and I believe this to be due to the few serious buyers who are still around being rather careful about where they are prepared to buy. Fortunately Salobrena has survived relatively unscathed from the building excesses that have blighted much of Spain. If anything the problems elsewhere seem to be focusing attention on Salobrena which has not only avoided most of the excessive building but also has some genuine advantages still largely unknown to the majority of people looking to buy homes in Southern Spain. Over the next couple of years, when the motorways finally find us, so will more people who will appreciate the special qualities that Salobrena has to offer. So if you are one of the many people who in principle would like to buy and enjoy a home in sunny Spain but think it better to wait until the current uncertainty is over my message is a simple one. Come and take a look at some villas with me on the hillside overlooking Salobrena and if you find something you like at a price which is acceptable why not start enjoying it now?  I cannot imagine that anyone  agreeing to buy a well located and structurally sound property on this hillside now will be regretting their decision in a few years time. But those who wait for the world economy to return to normal will perhaps regret not having made the change earlier as none of us know what the future holds for us.
